3 CAFES IN MELBOURNE

3 CAFES IN MELBOURNE

Release Date: Jan 25, 2018

As an enthusiastic cafe denizen, nothing gets the adrenaline pumping more than a trip home to Melbourne; coffee capital of the world. The only fear was that it being Christmas/New Year and all – which usually means that many would be closed. Many were closed, but the stars were able to align more often than I expected… ACOFFEE’s new roaster/cafe was, for me, the most stunning new specialty coffee shop in town. Their exciting menu of single origins boasted clean and bright flavours, just like the on-point interior design itself. Small artisan bakery/cafe LOAFER, wins my award for no ego vibe, which is what I’m all about these days. Their pastries go so well with their coffee, and their freshly baked loaves of bread sell out quickly. Finally, a special mention goes out to TAIYO SUN, the recently opened modern kissaten, the type which I have been hoping to open in Tokyo. Arigato Gozaimasshita Taiyo Sun for making sure I didn’t miss Japan too much while being away. For more coffee shops in Melbourne, an instagram hashtag search for #goodcoffee_melbourne will probably do the trick. Happy New Year, everyone!

Love, Vaughan.
